Buena Vista High School is a closed campus. Students may not leave at any time during the school day without first obtaining an off-campus pass from the office. Off-campus passes will not be issued during the lunch period.
Cellphones are not to be used during school hours. At the beginning of each school day, every student will be assigned a personal Yondr Pouch, similar to being assigned a textbook. While the Yondr Pouch is considered school property, it is each student’s responsibility to not damage their pouch.
Any person under 18 years of age must have a work permit unless working for a parent, in order to be legally employed. Work permits are issued in the BV Office to students in good academic standing (absolutely NO “F’s”) with satisfactory attendance. Failure to maintain good academic standing and satisfactory attendance may result in revocation of the work permit.
BVHS students cannot attend other schools’ sponsored dances, including TUHS, unless they obtain written permission in advance, and can do so only as a guest of a current student from the sponsoring school. Permission is given only to students with good attendance and passing all classes. Students may participate in any District sponsored event that is open to the general public unless specifically prohibited. BVHS students must adhere to all standards of conduct and dress code required by the sponsoring school.
