Off-Campus Lunch Privilege – BVHS

Dear BVHS Families,

We are excited to share that a small group of students at Buena Vista High School has earned the opportunity to participate in Off-Campus Lunch on Fridays.

This privilege begins Friday, 2/20, and will continue every Friday through the end of the school year for students who maintain eligibility.

✅ Qualification Requirements:

Maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher
Maintain 80% or higher attendance
Have ZERO detentions owed
Have no behavioral infractions (no ATS or suspensions)

Currently, approximately 13 students qualify. Eligibility will be reevaluated at every progress report and quarter mark. Students will track their progress during Advisory.

📋 Friday Procedures:

Students must check out at the office with Mr. Ahumada
At checkout, they may unlock their phone
Upon return, students must check back in and lock their phones

🚫 Privilege Can Be Revoked If:

The student does not return after lunch
Student returns late
The student brings food back for friends
Student eats off-campus food in classrooms/on campus
Student gets in trouble while off campus
New detentions are assigned (until served)
New behavioral infractions occur (until next progress check)

This is a privilege earned through responsibility, academic effort, and positive behavior. We are proud of the students who have met these expectations and appreciate your partnership in reinforcing them.
